Tonight was the last night of racing at the Regatta centre on a Monday night for this 2017/18 Summer for the Penrith Cycling Club. And what a night. The weather was omminous, very grey, dark low hanging clouds, the orchestra of thunder, some flashes of lighting and spitting rain threading to unload an unholly mess on our heads. It didn’t, it only threatened. This meant taking photos in near night time conditions, a challenge.
The weather didn’t stop the fast racing with some breakaways that seemed to be working well. Despite the bad looking skies a lower temperature no doubt allowed for more effort.
While its sad Monday night racing is over, i for one will be looking forward to some sunny weekend races here.
